Course Description:
This weekly discussion class will focus on literature, plays and short stories as well as use the book, How to Read Literature Like a College Professor by Thomas Foster, to teach “the language of reading.” Titles planned include Catcher in the Rye, Of Mice and Men, A Separate Peace and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Weekly readings, annotation, and contemplation required in addition to class discussion.
