Course Description:

Are you interested in psychology, but struggle to find a way to learn it from a Christian perspective? The Bible says God knit us together in our mothers’ wombs. We can use the teachings of Jesus to better understand the human mind and behaviors. Isn’t that fabulous?

Having taken (& greatly enjoyed) multiple college psychology courses, I am thrilled to share the gold from what I’ve learned, with my students!

Using the book “Looking Out, Looking In” (13th edition), by Ronald B. Adler & Russel F. Proctor, we will learn about different forms of communication, how our environments affect our self-concept & self-esteem, how to solve conflict in a healthy way, & develop a solid understanding of basic psychological terms & meanings. This class will give your student a solid psychology base to study further psych concepts.

There will be significant reading outside of class time, as class will be reserved for discussion, short quizzes, games, & activities. We will have fun assignments, without any heavy writing! You will learn a TON in this class, but will not be overloaded with busy work. We’ll also have a lot of fun together!
