Course Description:
Taught by Savannah College of Art and Design Sequential Art Student, Tatum, and her younger brother, Jack, this bi-monthly art class we will use a variety of mediums to explore & create beautiful and unique pieces of art. Sometimes we will consider the seasons or an upcoming holiday, and we will also take into consideration interests from the class, in planning our projects. But we will always focus on the process of creating, rather than just the product that results.
Because classes are every other Thursday, students are encouraged to finish their project (on their own) on our “off weeks”, and submit pictures to the class, so we can share our successes! Because class is only 45 minutes long, students may need a second day to complete. Please be sure your child has a space to allow their project to dry, and stay throughout the week, should you choose to carve out all Thursdays for art time. 🙂

A list of required supplies will be sent out two weeks before classes begin. Plan to have the basics: paper, pencil, markers, paints, watercolors, brushes, scissors, glue, glue sticks, etc. We may require clay, origami paper, etc., as well… stay tuned!
This class will be a well-rounded art experience: educational, creative, and loads of fun!
